Joshua Tree Uncut

23 Sep 2003
A CD of 'music that inspired The Joshua Tree' comes free with the latest edition of Uncut Magazine.

The CD features tracks by BB King, Elvis Presley, John Lee Hooker, Jimmie Rodgers, Billie Holliday and twenty others in a special 'Joshua Tree' edition dedicated to 'the rock epic that conquered the world'.

'I knew within the first two weeks this record was going to be special,' recalls Daniel Lanois, of a record largely recorded in the drawing room of Adam's house. 'A great rock'n'roll room, we could do no wrong in there. Everyone was looking to break new ground sonically.'

Check the U2.Com Joshua Tree era pages for reviews of the album, band news and events from the time and video clips from all the single releases.
