Larry, Adam, Edge and Bono donate personal items for Irish Cancer Charity Auction.

13 Mar 2001
Ever wanted to get your hands on a genuine pair of Bono's handmade Black Fly shades?

Or a signed pair of Larry's drumsticks?

Both are up for sale as part of the Great Daffodil Day Internet Auction - along with Adam's own Calvin Klein sunglasses and a t-shirt from Edge, identical to the one he wore to perform Stuck In A Moment on Top of the Pops recently.

It's all in aid of the Irish Cancer Society's Daffodil Day 2001 which takes place on Friday 23rd March.

For the past six years funds raised on the day have exceeded £1 million with a record £1.6 million raised in 2000. The day has become one of Ireland's most successful national fundraising events with everyone from school children to the President lending support.

This year the aim is to raise £1.75 million for nationwide cancer care programmes which fund a variety of specialist nurses who provide free treatment & care to people with cancer.

The Irish Cancer Society, founded in 1963, is the national charity dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem and improving the lives of those living with cancer through patient care, research and education. All its work is funded by donations from the general public.
