A completely updated edition of 'U2 Live: A Concert Documentary', the definitive concert history of the band, is set for autumn publication.

The new edition is a tribute to its original editor and compiler Pimm Jal de la Parra, who died last year. See our earlier story

The original edition carried information, set lists and reviews of U2 shows from the late 1970's up to the first five shows on the PopMart tour in 1997. The new edition, edited by Caroline van Oosten de Boer of U2log.com and long time collaborator with Pimm will bring the U2 live story right up to this year.

According to the preview on Amazon, the new edition 'includes information, anecdotes and facts from virtually every U2 show, from 1976 to 2003, including spontaneous shows with local bands, impromptu sessions with fans and friends and acoustic jams during radio and TV sessions..... this book offers a commentary which traces the band's musical development over 25 years.'

Check the right hand side of the home page of U2log.com for different country links to Amazon if you want to snap up your advance copy.
