Live At The 2006 Grammy Awards

2 Feb 2006
Don't miss the 2006 Grammy Awards on Wednesday. The band are nominated for five Awards and will also perform - including a duet with Mary J Blige.

U2 are nominated in five categories for How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb (see the list at the bottom of this story). Although the album was released in 2004, it was too late to qualify for last year's Awards. But Vertigo, the first single, was in time to qualify and last year it was nominated in three categories - and won all three categories.

Here's our report

In fact the band have had a steady stream of nominations in this most prestigious bash of the music industry calendar.

Here's our report of the 2002 Awards when the band won Four Grammy's.

The year before it was Beautiful Day that won big. Watch the band accepting their awards and performing in this great video.

The 2006 Awards take place next Wednesday, February 8th, at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles. We'll bring you news as the Awards are announced and you can also watch it live on CBS Television Network from 8 p.m. (ET/PT).

And just to refresh your memory, here's the categories the band are nominated in - and who the competition is!
